Description: Rural Peer Advisors – current college students from rural communities in Wisconsin – offer educational programming and one-to-one mentoring for rural and small-town high school students.
Sessions can be designed for a specific grade level or cover broader topics. Peers are available to answer students’ pressing questions and concerns about post-secondary opportunities, while covering key college-going topics.

Adulting 101

Description: Tips from students who successfully made the transition from high school to being an adult. Covers: budgeting, time management, being an advocate for yourself and more.
Holistic Admissions Mock College Application Review
Format: In-Person
Scheduling: ~40 min – 1 hour
Audience: Ideal for juniors
Description: Be a college admissions readers for a day! Students review example student college applications for a fake college to decide if they should admit, deny, or waitlist the candidates. Great way to learn best practices for writing the college essay and what to include on the activity list.
Finding the Right Fit

Audience: Best for grades 9-11
Description: Navigating the college search and selection process can be daunting. Students learn what to consider when looking at colleges and how to find the schools that are the right fit for them and their goals.
Getting Ready to Make Your Senior Year Strong

Audience: Ideal for rising seniors
Description: The senior year is one of the busiest in high school, from applying to colleges to taking advanced level classes. It’s also the year you don’t want to slack off. Covers the senior year checklist and what students need to be aware of to make their senior year a strong one!
